"Level of Service"
The concept of Level of Service (LOS) has been around for some time. Now it's being incorporated into the new Highway Capacity Manual to be published in 2010. Bruce Landis of Sprinkle Consulting will introduce newcomers to LOS, then describe new bicycle and pedestrian level of service models. Joe Fish , a transportation planner for the city of Bloomington, Indiana, will describe results of a pedestrian LOS case study.
