There is nothing more important than your Soul

This little story will help you understand the Bible better.

 

God loved the World.

God made everything.

God created Adam and Eve.

They were very happy.  The world was perfect.

God gave them a rule.  He said Do not eat of the fruit of the tree of knowledge.

Adam and Eve Disobeyed God.  They ate the fruit.  Disobeying God is called sin.

Sin ruined everything.  Because of sin bad things happened. 

Pain and disease entered the world.

God gave us the Ten Commandments to show us how we should live

In the first commandment God says “Love me with all your heart”.

In another Commandment God says. Worship me one day a week”

God also says Honor you father and your mother

In another God tells us ”Do not steal.”

Then another says,” Do not lie”

No matter how hard we try, all break God’s commandments

Because God loved us so much he made a way for us to be forgiven

God sent his son into the world to be born as a baby

His name was Jesus

His parents were proud of him

He always loved God

He was very loving to others.

Jesus did amazing things

He walked on water

He healed sick people

He taught us more about the Ten Commandments.

Like if you hate without cause you are a murder at heart and will be judged

If you lust after a woman you are adultery at heart.

If you call someone a fool you are in danger of judgment.

Jesus never broke one commandment.  Jesus never sinned.

Each of us has broken God Commandments many times We deserve to be punished.  God’s place of punishment is Hell.

“The soul who sins shall die.”

But Jesus took the punishment for out sins

Jesus died for the whole world.  He came back to life then 40 days later he rose to heaven.

 

If we turn from our sins and trust in Jesus God will forgive us.  We need to put on Jesus like a parachute.  If you are in a plane that is going down and you are told that you are going to have to jump, it is not enough to believe that the parachute can save you.  You have to put on the parachute to be saved.  It is the same here.  You need to put on Jesus.

 

You need to obey is commandments to show him that we love him.

Read the Bible every day and do what it says.

Then God will never leave you and Jesus will be your friend for life.

One day we can go to heaven to live with God forever.
